A Belgian company is seeking suppliers of consumer products in order to sell these products in Europe by means of their online marketplace. The cooperation will be based on a distribution services agreement.
The Belgian company runs an online marketplace connecting buyers and sellers offering both of them the best possible conditions. Their products are sold in many European countries via nearly all well-known online channels such as amazon, ebay and bol.com. In order to expand their offer this rapidly growing company would like to get in contact with manufacturers and vendors having branded products with an EAN barcode (European Article Numbering), sufficient stock and good purchase conditions. Eligible products and net prices are determined together. Potential partners are interested to outsource their online sales to the Belgian company without any visible link with their own company or their dealers. The Belgian e-commerce company will storage a predetermined consignment inventory in their warehouses, sell the products online and ship the orders. So the partnership functions as an extra distribution point, but online.
- Type of partner sought: The Belgian company is searching for surplus inventories of branded products foreseen of an EAN barcode.
Typical products come from food & beverage, home, consumer electronics and DIY applications. Kitchen, bathroom, baby & mom, living, leisure, health and sport supplies are very popular online. Fresh food is not considered.
- Specific area of activity of the partner: Potential partners are businesses wanting to sell to new customers and/or new markets in an highly optimized process. They are manufacturers, importers, wholesalers or distributors having enough stock or overstocks of known branded products offered in an excellent quality-price ratio. They are able to provide all required product data and EAN codes.
Initially, companies interested in collaborating need to communicate the brand names of the products offered and in which countries these may be sold. Ideally this would be the whole of Europe.
Sellers can boost their international sales through the marketplace with a minimum investment in time and cost. The Belgian company takes care of the online presence making use of as many channels as possible. The Belgian partner also takes care of the storage of the agreed products and the sending of the orders.
