A Singapore machining company is seeking technical expertise and know-how in precision ceramic machining. It is looking for experts, consultants and/or organisations with deep technical expertise and knowledge to help develop and establish fine and precise ceramic machining, machined ceramic component cleaning and quality check capabilities.
Research, commercial agreement with technical assistance or joint ventures are being sought with SMEs, inventors or research institutes.
The Singapore SME with more than 10 years of experience in the precision machining of non-ceramic parts for use in a wide variety of industries is looking to grow into new business areas.
The company thus aims to develop capabilities to machine high quality ceramic components with high yield and efficiency. These capabilities would include:
1. Machining of highly precise ceramic components from near net shaped sintered ceramics
2. Cleaning of machined ceramic parts to reduce contamination
3. Subsequent checks to ensure quality products.
The company has existing equipment and experience in the machining of non-ceramic products. However, they do not have the exact know-how for the above capabilities and thus seek partners who can transfer the know-hows.
The company is open to opportunities from any geographical locations with SMEs, inventors or research institutions via the following forms of cooperation:
i) Commerical agreement with technical assistance - Installation and maintenance of the transferred technology by the partner.
ii) Research collaboration - Co-development by both parties to create new products/services.
iii) Joint venture agreements - Set up of a joint entity by both patners either in Singapore or in the partner country to joinly offer the product/service.
- Type of partner sought: Potential partners with extensive experience, know-hows, expertise in the machining of precision technical ceramics, the subsequent cleaning and quality checks of the machined ceramics, and the various machineries and tooling required for these processes.
Experience in the machining of the commonly found technical ceramics would be preferred.
For more technical details on the requirements, please send in your enquiry.
- Specific area of activity of the partner: A partner could be:
i) A university or research institute which have the process know-hows and capabilities for research and technical agreements.
ii) A company (SME) which has production know-hows, capabilities and experience that they can transfer with technical agreements or joint venture agreements.
iii) Independent technical experts (inventors) or consultants with the necessary hands-on experience and process know-hows for technical cooperation.
The partner(s) will have work closely together with the company to co-develop and establish the various process specifications, parameters and SOPs, to transfer the necessary know-hows and advise or consult on the establishment of the necessary machineries and tools for the machining, cleaning and quality inspection of the machined ceramics.
Already on the market - Partners should have proven experience and portfolio.
