ABSTRACT

Spanish industrial vacuum company is looking for a downdraft table fitted with standard and ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosibles) self-cleaning filter cartridges. The technology sought must be ready for grinding aluminium, titanium, carbon fiber and magnesium, materials with dust risk of explosion. The company is looking for manufacturing agreements.

Downdraft tables are a type of workbench that provides extraction and filtration for welding and grinding applications. It is used in a wide range of industries such as aerospace, aeronautics, metal, etc. to work with different materials.

Nevertheless, when working with materials such as aluminium, titanium, carbon fiber and magnesium there is risk of dust explosion so the table must be ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosibles) certified.

Currently there are two solutions in the market to make downdraft tables ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosibles) certified, but both are either inefficient or highly expensive:
-Set up the vacuum system outside the table which makes the machine as much as four times more pricy.
-Or use filters without the self-cleaning system that have to be replaced very often. Therefore, this option is not suitable for an intensive use.

In order to solve this problem and satisfy the growing demand, the Spanish company (which is a well-known distributor of industrial vacuum equipment) is looking for a downdraft table ready to operate with standard and ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosibles) filter cartridges that integrates a self-cleaning system for the filters.

The Spanish company is looking for a manufacturer of industry vacuum systems willing to develop this kind of technology under a manufacturing agreement. Additionally, the Spanish company is willing to cooperate with the partner sought in the development of the table providing know-how and even financial resources.
