A Spanish company specialized in the manufacture of electrical material and worldwide leader in the heating elements market is looking for a thick film heater technology under a technical cooperation agreement


FULL DESCRIPTION

This Spanish middle-sized company with significant experience in the market manufactures components for the electrical appliances sector.

In the past few years, the company, in a clear commitment to innovation, developed other products based on state-of-the-art materials and technologies. As a result of this intrapreneurship project, new companies have been established with significant results in terms of impact and employment.

This technology is mainly used for heating targeted areas in a really efficient way. These types of heaters are of high-power densities and low thermal masses which result in ultra-fast heating of any kind of media.
On the other hand, thick film heaters are respectful with the environment as stand-by modes can be omitted or just improved.

The company is looking for a partner who should be able to offer solutions (design and/or manufacture) in the referred technology so that their heating elements could work much faster and their quality could be further improved.

A technical cooperation agreement is the main type of cooperation as it allows the Spanish company and the partner who will be capable of addressing the problems set out here, to work together in a common project.
A joint-venture project has also been envisaged for this collaboration.


Partner expertise sought:

- Type of partner sought: The Spanish company has in mind other companies who own this electric heating technology for elements in different substrates; i.e: ceramic, metallic and even plastic.
Morphologies have to be preferably diverse; flat, tubular, others. The technology will also have to be flexible; adapt itself to different sizes and to the electrical properties of the heating elements.
Likewise, know-how in materials and processes will be valued as well as experience in real sales, even at a small scale.
- Specific area of activity of the partner: The company is open to discuss different types of collaboration. In all cases, the prospective partner will have to carry out tasks aimed at complementing the company’s current technology and preferably create a long-term relationship.

They are looking for confidential proposals. The proposal should describe the technical approach and should ideally include information on the technological readiness of the proposal and if possible, a reference to any peer-reviewed publications, and a potential route to commercialization.
This can be done either via a joint development or a technical cooperation agreement.


Development Stage:

Concept stage - The requested technology should be preferably higher than a TR6 Level
