ABSTRACT

A Swiss spin-off has developed an electric one seat scooter specifically designed for a mobility sharing system: three-wheel, with a roof, made of sustainable material. In its function, comfort and investment costs it is positioned between the car and the (e-)bike. The company is looking for a partner able to produce a sustainable, 100% recyclable material for the covering elements (roof, cockpit, etc) of the scooter under a manufacturing agreement.

A Swiss spin-off from a University of Applied Sciences has developed an electric vehicle specifically designed for urban, short distance mobility. The vehicle helps to reduce the inner-city CO2-emissions caused by traffic. It is extremely easy and fun, as well as safe to drive in all weather conditions and also on slippery floors. The vehicle has a maximum speed of 45 km/h. It has the smallest footprint (1.2m2) and is the lightest (80 kg) three-wheel vehicle on the market.
Using sustainable materials for all its parts complements the sustainable business vision behind this invention.

The company is looking for a partner who is able to produce an innovative, sustainable material for the covering parts (front, roof, back, cockpit) of the scooter for a manufacturing agreement.

The material has to be 100% recyclable with a cradle-to-cradle approach (biological or technical circle, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cradle-to-cradle_design).

The material must have a good weather and UV-resistance and be very light.

Any production technologies (thermoforming, die-casting, laminate, film, ....) are of interest to the company.

The scooter has different covering parts to protect the driver from rain and wind. These covering parts are engineered as thermoforming parts and produced with a 3D Printer for the first prototype. If needed, design can be changed for a better and cost-efficient production.

The company is looking for a supplier/manufacturer who can produce those parts in a small series and with a new, innovative and sustainable material.

Coloring and solar cell integration are optional.

The material has to be 100% recyclable with a cradle-to-cradle approach.
