A German SME looks for a company from the agro-food industry to complete the consortium of the project SHIP2FAIR (Solar Heat for Industrial Process towards Food and Agro Industries commitment in Renewables). The project is already ongoing and receives funding under the call - H2020-LCE-2017-RES-IA. The sought partner should require heat in the medium temperature range (100°C to 400°C) and be interested in having installed a demo site on their premises. Partnership will be a research agreement.
A German SME that provides tailormade solutions of renewable energies and energy efficiency in the medium power range for industrial and commercial customers is currently working in the European funded project SHIP2FAIR (Solar Heat for Industrial Process towards Food and Agro Industries commitment in Renewables). The project aims to foster the integration of solar heat in industrial processes of the agro–food industry. With this purpose, SHIP2FAIR will develop and demonstrate a set of tools and methods for the development of industrial solar heat projects during their whole life cycle.
Demonstration and validation will take place at four real industrial sites, representative of the agro-food sector.
SHIP2FAIR is a project developed by 15 partners from all over Europe and with the support of the European Commission.
In SHIP2FAIR it is foreseen that the SME will install two identical SHIP systems for direct steam generation. The company is currently searching for an alternative site for one of the originally planned installations at a beverage company in Italy.
Type and role of the partner required:
The partner should be from the agri-food and beverage sector, having heat demand in the medium temperature range (100°C to 400°C) and be interested to receive one of the demo sites on their premises. The demo site consists of a fresnel solar collector field comprising 80 modules and covering a total area of approximately 2600 m². The system includes a balance of plant consisting of pumps, valves, piping and control/automation of the solar field. The partner should be responsible for preparing the area (roof or ground) for system installation and to interconnect the limit of scope to the factory (topics to be discussed). The project has a large share of funding and the partner will be responsible for covering the difference in order to own the system.
The project is currently ongoing with the other demo site under engineering and the new partner should be involved the soonest possible in order to keep the project timeline.
