The company is a global leader in the manufacture of these machines and export their products worldwide - the drilling machines can be found at all continents in the world.

Over the years the company has gained a broad knowledge of machine tool manufacturing. Today, in addition to the popular drilling machine brands, they offer their customers a wide range of machines from their agency program.

The Swedish company care very much about their customers and their products. High quality has always been a top priority. The company was founded in 1956 and has since produced more than 700 000 gear driven drilling machines. When visiting customers they find machines from the 1950īs still in action.

The Swedish producer is looking for a subcontractor that can manufature small size (3-55 kg) grey iron castings. They are looking for a supplier from Eastern Europe and especially from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic or Romania.

The subcontractor should have cost efficient production facilities for producing small size grey iron castings in production batch ranging from 500 to 1000 pieces per item per year. The partner should also be custom to machining of the casted parts.


Partner expertise sought:

- Type of partner sought: Partner company should fulfill at least most of following technical requirements:
• Manufacturing of small size iron castings 3-55 kg.
• Material EN-GJL-200 should be the main raw material used in the casting.
• Tolerance requirements +/- 0,15mm
• Hand molding or mechanized molding using resin sand or green sand.
• Typical batch size per item per year is 500 to 1000 pieces.
• Capability of core manufacture.
• Own painting facilities for primary painting
• Own pre-machining and final machining facilities
• Capability to manufacture patterns is preferred.
• Certified quality and environmental systems (at least ISO9001 and ISO14001).
- Specific area of activity of the partner: The Swedish company is looking for a supplier of grey iron castings. The castings should be of high quality and the Swedish company need the finshed parts to be machined and painted.
