Romanian language centre seeks cooperation with international partners specialised in summer school programmes under services agreement

The Romanian centre is looking for European centres, institutions and organisations from the field of education and training which provide language summer courses for children, teenagers, adults and families. The centre is interested in signing services agreements with such partners for either short or medium term cooperation.

The Romanian language centre specialises in the delivery of English and German classes for different-aged groups. All classes are personalised, depending on the preferences, needs and schedule of each student. They are jointly thought of to adhere to the principle of diversity in communication and learning and they are conceived to guarantee a both efficient and comfortable step-by-step learning process.
The language centre is British Council partner and “addvantage member” and organises Cambridge English exams for children, teenagers and adults. The centre also offers exam preparation courses, as well as counselling. All Cambridge teaching aids and the audio-visual support are included in the online language service.
The centre is interested in finding European partners that offer language summer schools for children of different ages, teenagers, adults and/ or families. English and German courses are sought for in particular. The centre would like to offer its students the opportunity to study a language of their choice abroad, in an international environment that can help them develop linguistically, as well as culturally and socially.

Partner expertise sought:

- Type of partner sought: The Romanian company seeks European organisers of language summer schools for different-aged groups of children, teenagers and adults.
The centre is especially interested in cooperating with institutions that offer full summer school packages (including English and/ or German courses for different-levelled learning groups, social and cultural programmes and travel and interactively oriented activities).
Learning activities should be creative and innovative, based on interactive language exercises, on the improvement of communication skills and on the promotion of imaginative thinking.
Social-cultural and entertainment programmes should also be focused on the improvement of communication and interpersonal skills and should include both visits to local institutions (museums, theatres, educational institutions etc.), as well as outdoor, sports- oriented activities (biking, hiking, swimming etc.).
Potential partners all also expected to offer and/ or arrange lodging and meals for incoming groups. Local transportation should also be arranged by the partner.
- Specific area of activity of the partner: Type/ field of activity: the centre is interested in cooperating under a services agreement with international partners from the field of education and training that offer full summer school packages.
Role: ideal partners are expected to organise English and/ or German courses for different-aged groups; social and cultural activities; travel experiences; local cuisine adventures; sports and outdoor activities; interactive workshops. Transport, accommodation and meals (either for individual students or for family groups) should also be included in the offer.

Advantages & innovations:

The centre specialises in the provision of English and German language courses. The courses are based on the “multi-age teaching and learning” concept, which means that learning content and methodology are adapted to different-aged groups and that language instructors aim at developing sets of age-appropriate skills. Language classes for children and teenagers make use of creative learning methods which combine precision and imagination, while language classes for adults focus exclusively on the particular, professional or personal needs of the individuals.
The centre encourages its students to take part in educational trips and get first-hand knowledge about the language and the socio-cultural customs of other countries. By taking part in such exchanges, the students develop both educationally and personally, they learn how to use a foreign language in standard situations and, most importantly, they come in direct contact with people from different educational, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
