The business activity of Croatian company is waste treatment and transport of non-hazardous waste materials. Also, they produce energy from non-hazardous waste like waste to energy (W2E) technology using sludge, RDF (Refuse derived fuel), SRF (Solid recovered fuel) and 19 12 12 (code for other waste from mechanical treatment of waste) materials. The company is looking to sign distribution services agreements and/or joint venture agreement.
Croatian company deals with waste disposal and disposal of sludge from water purifiers. Also, they are doing placement of SRF, RDF and 19 12 12 materials outside EU.
Solid recovered fuel (SRF) is a high-quality alternative to fossil fuel produced from mainly commercial waste including paper, cardboard, wood, textiles and plastic. Solid recovered fuel has gone through additional processing to improve the quality and value. It has a higher calorific value than RDF and is used in facilities such as cement kilns.
Refuse derived fuel (RDF) is produced from domestic and business waste, which includes biodegradable material as well as plastics. Non-combustible materials such as glass and metals are removed and the residual material is then shredded.
19 12 12 is code by European Waste Catalogue (EWC) for other waste (including mixtures of materials) from mechanical treatment of waste.
The company wants to have a business partner from whom they will be using such waste and then use it for W2E.
Waste to energy (W2E) or energy from waste (EfW) is the process of generating energy in the form of electricity and/or heat from the primary treatment of waste, or the processing of waste into a fuel source. W2E is a form of energy recovery. Most W2E processes generate electricity and/or heat directly through combustion, or produce a combustible fuel commodity.
Above mentioned waste types, those are all that this company is looking for in order to sign a distribution services agreement or joint venture agreement.
Distribution services agreement are sought because of a high amount of such waste in other countries, especially outside of EU countries. Also, the company is looking for joint venture agreement where the company would join a partner where they will be placing and treating waste in an adequate way.
The company has a much wider opportunity on an international scale and because such waste, often is not treated properly. This is a win-win situation for companies and the environment.
- Type of partner sought: Public utility companies and private waste processors + household waste
- Specific area of activity of the partner: The company is looking for companies such as waste facilities, which can offer SRF, RDF fuels, technology and equipment for waste shredding. In case of delivering 19 12 12 waste, equipment should be placed near power plants. The company has a need for large quantities of waste, from hundreds of kilos to basically all the potential partner can offer. All details and especially waste quantities are negotiable.
Demand for SRF and RDF outside of the EU is huge, and this is where Croatian company sees its opportunity and biggest advantage because they have placement agreements where they can place and treat the waste in an adequate way.
