The German company is specialised in FIT (Free Independent Traveler) tourism. It sells tours, trips and journeys, such as sightseeing, events, music or food tours, boat or sailing trips, nature experiences, sports experiences, water experiences, air experiences etc. to the Asian market. It also sells short one-to-three-day trips and food experiences, restaurants or wedding ceremonies.

It works with a large network in China and South-East Asia. It is a B2B travel company working in cooperation with Chinese B2B platforms. It has direct contracts and API (Application Programming Interface) connections to OTA (online travel agencies) in China and South-East Asia (platforms like Ctrip, Mafengwo, KLOOK, Quhappy, Qyer, Alitrip OTA from Alibaba Group, Zuzuche, China Estern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, LY, Tuniu and a lot of smaller OTA).

At the moment there are only a few FIT products (tours, trips) from Europe on these OTA platforms, because the FIT tourism market is quite new in China. The Chinese customers who book those products are young, have most of the time already traveled to Europe before and do not want to make a group trip like 5 countries in 5 days. They want to travel more slowly and they want to see some other places in Europe beside the main destinations.

The manager and owner of the German company knows the owner of the Chinese company personally. Thanks to the trustful relationship between both entrepreneurs, The German manager was asked to find interesting FIT products and make the whole purchasing process for the Chinese as their European base.

In order to expand the product line of foreign trips and events to be offered to the Asian market, the German company is looking for interesting FIT touristic products taking place in Europe and Israel and offered in the English language. It is offering distribution services agreements through a large distribution network in Asia.

The German company is directly connected to a Chinese B2B platform. This Chinese company was founded in 2013 in New Zealand, now based in Shanghai. They started to sell FIT products from New Zealand into the Chinese market. In 2017, this Chinese company had around 100 good selling products from New Zealand and made with these products 11.000 sales and 2,4 Mio Euro in Sales into the Chinese market.

This Chinese company is directly connected via API connection to around 130 OTA in China. Every product the German company enters onto the platform can be sold by chinese OTAs like Ctrip and KLOOK directly to their customers.

Usually, it is very difficult for foreign companies to offer their touristic products into OTA platforms in Asia, because of the language borders and the government restrictions. It often takes over 3 months to get the first contact draft and until the first products are online, it takes further 6 to 9 months. The German company offers faster possibilities thanks to their direct contracts and API connections.
