ISCF - From Data to Early Diagnosis in Precision Medicine

Apex Waterloo Place Hotel 23-27 Waterloo Pl Edinburgh

Wave 2 ISCF Fund, ‘From data to early diagnosis and precision medicine’.

The workshop, which will be held on 24th April at Edinburgh’s Apex Waterloo Place Hotel will help you better understand the funding and opportunity available.  In addition to hearing more about the Wave 2 call for proposals, you’ll have the chance to have one to one meetings with KTN, SE and Innovate UK colleagues as well as network with potential partners.

Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund: The Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund aims to bring together the UK’s world-leading research with business to meet the major industrial and societal challenges of our time. The fund is part of the UK Government’s £4.7 billion increase in research and development over 4 years and designed to ensure that research and innovation takes centre stage in the Government’s Industrial Strategy.

Wave 2 Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund – From data to early diagnosis and precision medicine: As part of the ISCF Wave 2 Challenge, Data to Early Diagnosis and Precision Medicine, and subject to formal sign off, UK Research & Innovation will be investing up to £50 million in the creation of centres of excellence in digital pathology and/or in-vivo imaging (including radiology and other imaging techniques). We envisage funding 5 centres across the UK, and are asking the centres to make better use of artificial intelligence and machine learning, in delivering services and maximising the use of digital images. Each centre will need to run at least one significant exemplar project to demonstrate the utility of the infrastructure that has been funded.
