Lithuanian SME is manufacturer of billiard tables, they manufacture aprox 1000 billiard tables with original design every year. Company is looking for Wood Plastic Composites that could be used in production of billiard tables. Traditional Wood Plastic Composites (WPCs) are produced by thoroughly mixing ground wood particles and heated thermoplastic resin. The most common method of production is to extrude the material into the desired shape, though injection molding is also used. Traditional methods are limited because the material produced can hardly repeat the appearance of the wood. Company is looking for innovative wood polymer composite solutions with qualitative texture of wood.
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
The following technical specifications could be identified:
-wood polymer composite with texture of wood (qualitative appearance);
-indentation and scratch resistant surface;
-application – manufacture of billiard tables (decoration);
-dimensions: 1580x130-120x19;
-composite should be adaptive to the processing (grinding). It should be possible to make cylindrical form out of polymer composite.
