A Spanish company which designs and produces Headlamps and Rearlamps for automotive lighting, intends to develop efficient and smart lighting systems for cars based on blue and Ultraviolet (UV) laser diodes and including phosphorus. Phosphorus is a crucial component of the system due to it absorbs the light at the blue wavelength and reemits the photons at white visible range. They look for industrial partners specialised in such technology development and production for a cooperation agreement
The company intends to develop efficient lighting systems for Automobile based on blue diodes or Ultraviolet (UV) Laser Diodes technology.
For this development they would need the partnership of other specialized companies in laser UV diodes or high efficient blue Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and phosphorous technology company.
Most conventional white LEDs are, in fact, blue LEDs with a phosphor coating. In this project the light source is much efficient but it cannot be joined to the phosphorous layer due to thermal degradations. So itís necessary to separate the source and the phosphorous layer in order to improve the cooling performance of the system.
The companyīs know-how is focused on optics systems for automotive lighting, so they need a partner for the phosphorous integration development in the optic system, and also they would like that this partner would be able to supply it in industrial quantities.
Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements:
Phosphorescence, phosphorous application on different substrates (coating, surface treatment), phosphorous with different lighting properties, knowledge in interaction of materials, activators, phosphorous temperature degradation.
