This Spanish university has developed a software for the management of the forage harvesters. The system implemented in the harvesters captures the data by means of a telemetry system.

The software captures the data by means of a telemetry system. The system stores data as a wide range of parameters like starting and finishing times, breakdowns, repairs, tons harvested, trucks involved, etc. and makes calculations about field effective capacity, waiting times, expenditures, etc. The data process is done in few seconds and the information is transferred to an excel spreadsheet. The programming language used is Visual Basic 6.0, the software runs on any Microsoft operating system from Windows XP (included).
