Your last chance to access €8bn of EU funding!

The final and biggest work programme under the 7th EU Research and Technological Framework Programme 2007-2013: more commonly known by the acronym FP7, was  published on 9 July 2012, with an injection of around €8 billion into Europe's research and innovation system.

FP7 funding is open to businesses, universities and research institutes involved in cutting edge research which come together to form bidding partnerships and Scotland’s most innovative companies and organisations are urged to become involved.

The calls address key concerns facing Europeans and they include:

  • Combating diseases of the brain like Alzheimer's, depression and schizophrenia
  • ICT in health, material and neuro-sciences and neuro-robotics
  • Innovative solutions for managing fresh water resources
  • Secure clean and efficient energy
  • Combating the threat of drug-resistant bacteria
  • Post-disaster crisis management

Under the programme, the European Commission will contribute up to 75% of eligible costs for SMEs involved in technological development and research activities, and all of the costs for management, co-ordination and dissemination of the projects.

FP7 projects are collaborative and focus on developing leading edge technologies that are around 10 years from market. If you are interested in your organisation taking part either as a project leader or as a partner, we are here to help.
