Framework Programme 7 (FP7) is the EU's funding programme for research and technological development. The Energie Helpline UK, the UK support service for FP7 Energy, is holding a free Information Day presenting information on the forthcoming 2011 FP7 Energy Calls for Proposals and the recently launched Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Call for Proposals.
The Information Day will include a series of presentations in the morning about the Call priorities followed by lunch and the opportunity to discuss your proposal ideas on a one-to-one basis with members of the Helpline team in the afternoon.
Eight Calls for Proposals relating to the Energy theme of FP7 with a total expected budget of 270M€, are due to be launched at the end of July 2010 and this Information Day will provide pre-notification of the likely content of these Calls. The Calls are likely to include the following topics:
• Concentrated Solar Power
• Bio-energy
• Wind
• Solar thermal
• PV
• CO2 capture and storage
• Clean coal
• Smart energy networks
• Energy efficiency in manufacturing industry
• Energy efficiency in buildings
The information presented at the event will be based on draft information and is provided with the aim of giving UK organisations an awareness of the likely Call content before the summer break in view of the fact that the first deadlines are scheduled for October 2010.
The Information Day will also include information on the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Technology Initiative Call for Proposals that was launched last Friday (18th June). Details of the Call can be found here.
Please contact the Energie Helpline if you have any queries.
