A Japanese company is offering a manufacturing agreement to EU manufacturers of cheese curd and mascarpone.
The company is not looking for already on the market products but instead, for raw materials which could be developed into new products for the Japanese market.
The products should be frozen and fulfilling specific technical quality details provided by the Japanese company.
With the aim of developing a new product for the Japanese market, a Japanese company is looking for high quality dairy manufacturers in specifically targeted EU countries with whom to achieve a long-term manufacturing partnership.
The company is seeking cheese curd (cagliata) and mascarpone cheese as a dairy raw material for further product development in Japan. The products should be frozen or in an easy to freeze slab format.
Please note that the company is not looking for “already on the market products” but only for raw materials.
The dairy products will need to fulfill high quality standards and will be tested by the Japanese company’s labs before entering any business agreement. Suppliers should have competitive pricing compared to other suppliers in Europe.
There is a possibility for potential partners to jointly develop new products which will be distributed throughout Japan thanks to the Japanese company’s existing business channels.
The Japanese company is a manufacturer of a wide range of dairy products such as milk, fresh cream, dairy dessert, yogurt, ice cream, cheese, slim milk powder, butter, skim concentrate and so on. They have a subsidiary company specialised in distribution and sales as well as trading within their own group.

Basic requirements are that the partner is expected to manufacture cheese curd (cagliata) and/or mascarpone which meet the Japanese company's specific requirements that may vary depending on the finished product.
For the cagliata, a frozen product is a must. For mascarpone non-frozen would be OK but it should be provided in a easy to freeze “slab” format (flat shape) so to be freeze in Europe before shipping to Japan.
If possible the partner should be well equipped with equipment for freezing the cheese products.
- Specific area of activity of the partner: Partner should be an EU industrial manufacturer or supplier of high quality dairy raw material, especially cheese. The partner is expected to be able to manufacture cagliata and/or mascarpone which fulfills requirements indicated by the Japanese company with the correct quantities and a consistent quality.
The suppliers must be able to prove that they have previous experience in supplying high quality raw dairy materials and/or dairy products, as well as knowledge in global trading.
Ideally the supplier should also be able to ship frozen cheese products.
